Summary
Federal policy affects your compounding practice; however, not nearly as much as state laws and regulations do. In this session, you’ll get a whirlwind tour of adopted changes in compounding laws and regulations in states across the country during the 2020 and proposed changes currently in the 2021 sessions.

From 1987 to 2004, David represented the Healthcare Distribution Management Association (formerly the National Wholesale Druggists’ Association, and now the Healthcare Distribution Alliance) and its full-service drug distributor members, as director of state legislative affairs, successfully on numerous issues having both an individual state and national impact, including the development, enactment, and implementation of a 50-state licensing and regulatory program for drug distributors as required by the Prescription Drug Marketing Act of 1987. He also assisted in the development of enhanced industry standards to address and resolve issues concerning the distribution of prescription drugs.
